PRANAYAMA CLASSES…

Join Emma for her quick 10 minute Pranayama practice to give your body and mind a super effective and potent refresh. Pranayama, the practice of controlling the life force energy flowing through the body (Prana), often overlooked for it's more famous cousin ~ Asana ~ is an incredibly efficient way to drop in, rejuvenate, and shift any stagnation that might be lurking in the body or the mind. All it takes here is 10 mins, focusing on 3 common and simple breathing techniques, for you to emerge feeling revitalised, focussed and with a whole lot more calm space between the thoughts. Practice any time, anywhere, and enjoy!

Take your Yoga practice to a new height with this short + simple Sama Vritti Pranayama exercise guided by our founder Amy Leonard-King, that will in just a few minutes help to calm + stabilise the mind. Sama (meaning same) Vritti (meaning fluctuations) Pranayama is an even fluctuation of breath in and out of the body and it can be done anywhere, anytime. Pranayama itself is a power yogic practice and when combined with Yoga asana it can take your Yoga practice to the next level.

In this short tutorial, Yoga Corner Founder Amy Leonard-King shares the benefits of the powerful nadi shodhana pranayama or alternative nostril breathing and shares its benefits to mind, body + spirit. As the founder of Yoga Corner Amy tries to provide the most inspirational and best online yoga classes and online yoga courses possible through her online yoga website.

Ujjayi (ooo-ji-eee) Breath is a very ancient and traditional form of pranayama (or breath control) which you will very often hear cued in our classes. Our Founder Amy Leonard-King dives a little deeper on this breath sometimes affectionally known as "Darth Vader"  or "oceanic" breath which can help you to distribute prana through your body + garner control over the mind.

Mantra Classes…

Join long time devotee of Mantra and all-around Guru Lydia Richards as she guides you through the famous 'Guru Mantra', including an explanation of the meaning behind the mantra, and with the exquisite sounds of the harmonium to support our voices. Let your mind be open, and through this practice, the heart will surely open up. Feel free to pop this on play and just listen, or dust off the voice-box and heart-strings and join in the chanting, a surefire way to immediate lift your mood, spirits, and the all-around 'Bhav' (mood).

Join Lydia to chant together to relieve the busy-ness of the 'monkey mind', through connecting with your inner teacher (Guru), and bowing down to creative wisdom and the divine source. The 'Adi' or 'first' mantra is an invitation to come home to yourself and is a favourite in Kundalini Yoga practices - Ong namo guru dev namo.

Ever wondered why 'Om'? Enjoy Amy's brief description and quick practice of chanting Om, to get you dropped straight into the 'Bhav' - or 'divine mood'. Enjoy!

Hailing from the Jivamukti Yoga method, this mantra has a rich history, and many simple translations, however the one that has caught more attention through it's depth of insight comes from Amy's teacher's Sharon Gannon + David Life and reads: 'May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts words and actions of my own life, contribute in some way, to that happiness and to that freedom for all.' Enjoy!

This mantra spoke to Amy the first time she heard it - have you had the same experience? Hearing something and feeling as if you have known it already somehow? Join Amy to experience the deep feeling of connecting with your hearts deepest desires in this beautiful mantra practice. Enjoy 🙂
