Our classes are open to all levels of experience. If you're looking for something in particular, the class descriptions below might help you choose the right practice for you today. VINYASA FLOW (HEATED)
Practiced in our studio heated to 30C using state of the art FIR heating. The added heat (tapas), combined with a conscious awareness of body and breath will help you to move beyond the busy-ness of the mind.
Heated Vinyasa Flow is a flowing practice that incorporates a combination of foundational poses along with unique explorations in each class that express your teachers unique insights and offer you a chance to learn, grow and expand in your practice.
JIVAMUKTI YOGA
Jivamukti is one of only 9 internationally recognised forms of Hatha Yoga. It’s known for its ethos ‘a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings’ – compassionate living can not only transform our relationships with others, but lead us towards true liberation.
Explore this practice with Certified Jivamukti Teacher and the Founder of Yoga Corner, Amy Leonard-King, and expect an energetic and rigorous asana (posture) practice, as well as yogic philosophy, music + chanting, meditation, and inversion practice in every class.
VINYASA flow
Vinyasa classes will encourage you to find a connection between your mind, body and breath, as a means for reconnecting with the present moment.
Classes vary between a more flowing, ‘breath-guided-movement’ feel, to a slower, more embodied and very potent energetic experience. You will regardless move towards a deeper understanding of what it means to be in 'flow’, which will undoubtedly ripple into your life off the mat too.
YIN / RESTORE
Combining the well-known practices of Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga, this class is designed as a full nervous system reset, and is the antidote for the stress-filled, fast-paced modern life.
Yin Yoga is a slow paced, passive practice which works in combination with Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory. It involves longer held supported poses which encourage both creating space as well as beneficial compression in the 'yin' tissues of the body - ligaments, joints and fascia.
Restorative Yoga is a practice which encourages a mindful awareness of the body, breath and being present, with an intention to allow for deep rest and healing in all layers of our being.
BEGINNERS
We all remember what it was like to step into that first yoga class, and thus wish to create the warmest and least intimidating experience for everyone that starts their yoga journey with us.
We believe yoga should be accessible for everybody, as a practice for anyone. Don’t be shy to join us for the first time in our regular beginners class, or jump in as a refresher at any stage of your journey. In this class you will break down the basics, learn the fundamentals of postures, breath work, philosophy, mind-body connection and alignment on all levels.
ADVANCED
This class is a unique offering that will allow the opportunity to explore some of the more 'advanced' aspects of this wisdom tradition.
Advance your asana to new realms, and explore more advanced energetic practices including pranayama, kriyas, mudras and integrated practices to bring a deeper connection to your higher Self, through body, mind and spirit. It is recommended that you have at least some experience with yoga before joining this class, as there will be less basic guidance given.
GENTLE FLOW
Yoga is available to anyone who is seeking it. In these Gentle Yoga classes, enjoy finding a way to move, breathe and be fully in your body, without breaking a sweat. This practice will be guided with invitations to go at your own pace and to deeply listen inwards and cultivate connection, embodiment and healing.
A great class for those new to yoga, as well as anyone working with injuries, limitations, and even pregnancy. Bring yourself to the mat for a reconnection to your wholeness.
