MAKES 2 SERVES

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon of freshly grated turmeric (or 1/2 teaspoon of ground)

1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger (or 1/2 teaspoon of ground)

1 lemon, juiced (and leftover rind)

1-2 teaspoons of maple syrup (if required)

1 pinch black pepper

3 cups of filtered water

Method:

Bring all ingredients (including the lemon rind) in a small saucepan to boil, and let simmer for approximately 3 minutes. Using a strainer to remove excess pith and rind, pour into two cups and let cool. Sweeten to taste, or add more water to dilute, and enjoy - the goodness and the flavours!
