ABOUT YOUR TEACHER: AMY LEONARD-KING
Amy has been living and breathing the yoga practices for over a decade, although her journey with the tradition began a lot earlier.
Since completing her first Yoga Teacher Training whilst living abroad in London, Amy new that for her this would be a path for life. In 2014 she founded Yoga Corner, the first Hot Yoga studio in the Melbourne CBD and has been nurturing and growing the community here ever since. The Yoga Corner studio is the heartfelt creation of a place for people to come and connect back to the truest part of themselves.
Amy has studied under yoga teachers from many different lineages including Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Tantrik Hatha, Ayurveda, Restorative and Yin Yoga, both here in Melbourne and across the globe.
Amy has been teaching and mentoring yoga teachers for over 8 years, and has already graduated almost 40 Teacher Trainees via Yoga Cornerβs own Yoga Teacher Training school, founded in 2019.
Beyond exploring the physical asana practice, Amy's passion lies in sharing the deeper philosophy and ancient teachings that take us to a more sensitised and connected understanding of ourselves. Honouring yogaβs roots is at the heart of her offerings, and in supporting other teachers wishes to help each individual to connect with their authentic voice, so as to share in their own unique way, and serve themselves whilst they are serving others.
