The 'Bhakti' yoga practice of chanting ancient mantra will carry us deep into the chamber of the heart where we remember our own luminosity and connection with Universal Source.
Kirtan is a form of devotional singing that originated in India, and has been used for centuries to connect with the divine and cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness and connection with the heart. It is too a practice of connecting with one another, and through this, one of the most powerful tools for spiritual growth.
There are many benefits of Kirtan, including it being a powerful reliever of stress. The repetitive chanting of mantras has a calming effect on the mind, helping to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation. It also helps to move our attention away from the โmonkey mindโ and into the energy of the heart, making it a great tool for meditation.
The energy that's generated during a Kirtan session is truly incredible โ you'll leave feeling uplifted, renewed, and inspired.
No prior chanting or Kirtan experience is necessary, and there is equally no requirement to join in chanting, you can simply let the sounds of the music and mantra wash over you.
The proceeds from the event will be donated to the PARA Foundation, a charity dedicated to help Palestinian migrants and refugees settle in Australia and achieve their full potential โ free from the barriers created by conflict and displacement.

About Your TeacherS
Lydia RICHARDS
Lydia is a true believer in the sacred wisdom practices of yoga and the clarity, confidence and calm a regular practice can bring to your life. Lydia first came to yoga while working a stressful corporate job, turning to the practice as a method of both physical exercise and relaxation.
Her love of the practices eventually led her to leave behind the corporate world and head to Bali where she completed her first 200 Hour Vinyasa Flow teacher training at the Power of Now Oasis. Lydiaโs life was forever changed.
Lydia has undergone further study in yin + restorative yoga, meditation and Bhakti Yoga and โ recognising the human curriculum as our greatest teacher โ Lydia loves to explore and share how yoga philosophy can be applied to our busy, modern lives.
These days, yoga is to Lydia more of a remembering that rather than being a slave to the mind, we can live more fully from the container of the heart. This is where Yoga resides. And here, everything and anything is possible.
